Arshi OS: My Memorable Birthday

OS: My Memorable Birthday
"Arrey! Sanka Devi ka janam din bhool gaye?! Aise thodi chalta hai?!" ("What?! You forgot Sanka Devi's Birthday? How is that right?!") Buaji scolded Arnav as he looked at Khushi, still in utter shock.
Buaji stared at Arnav angrily while Garima tried to calm her down. Buaji pay no heed to Garima's silent pleads and continued to throw fire out of her eyes at the direction of Arnav, who by the way was still looking at a disheartened Khushi.
Seeing no reaction emerging from either of the two love birds, Buaji just huffed her "NandaKishore" rant and marched off to the kitchen, her paralysed brother and her sister-in-law right behind her.
"Khushi..." Arnav scarcely breathed as she looked up instantly, her eyes reflecting her disappointment for him.
"H....Ha...Happ...Happy-"
"Shukriya!" ("Thank You!") Khushi curtly replied, cutting Arnav off, instantly shutting him up.
"Happy Singh! He was asking for you!" Arnav tried to cover up his embarrassment. Khushi looked at him, appalled, for a good ten seconds before rolling her eyes.
"Typical Arnav Singh Raizada!" She muttered to herself as she walked off, leaving a stunned and loss Arnav behind.
"Ab kya karega tu Arnav? Apni biwi ko kaise pataye ga? Uff! Shaadi karke phaas gaya yaar!" ("Now what are you gonna do Arnav? How are you gonna woo your wife? God! Where am i stuck after marriage?!") Arnav thought to himself as he looked above to the almighty, silently asking for some sort of help. As if God was listening to his prayers, Arnav got the perfect idea to woo his Khushi back and mark her as his forever...
After a long, family  breakfast with Arnav trying to wish Khushi while she royally ignored him, Arnav got up and informed Buaji and Garima that he needed to leave to go home and asked Khushi if she would like to come as well.
"Nahin. Hum baad main khud aa jayein ge. Abhi humme Preeto ne apne ghaar bulaya hai. Hum shaam ko ghar aa jayein ge. Aap jayei." ("No. I'll come later.Preeto has invited me over to her house.I'll come back home in the evening. You go.")
"Are you sure that you'll come back?" Arnav asked, suspiciously.
"Aane ke alawa koi rasta hai hamaare paas? Nahin na? Toh phir?" ("Do i have any other option? No right? Then?") Her voice held the hidden depth of pain which she was trying to hide since yesterday; since the time she was called "The Biggest Mistake Of His Life".
Arnav gulped in guilt as he looked at her accusing eyes and her disheartened facial features. Nodding, and then muttering a quick bye to Khushi and the rest of the Guptas, Arnav hurriedly left in order to make his plan successful...
*************************
At the Raizada Mansion.
Arnav ran inside the mansion only to find the whole family sitting in the lounge.
"Chhote! Khushi bitiya kahan hai?" ("Chotte! Where's Khushi bitiya?") The eldest Raizada asked.
"Buaji ke ghar. Aaj uska birthday hai toh woh apne Amma-Babuji ke saath din bitana chahti hai." ("At Buaji's place. Today's her birthday so she wanted to spend the day with her mom and dad") Arnav informed and the family gasped at the revelation.
"Kya?! Khushi bitiya ka Janamdin? Payal bitiya, Aap ne humme bataya kyun nahin?" ("What?! It's Khushi's bitiya's birthday? Payal bitiya why did you not tell us about it?") Nani questioned.
"Khushi ne manna kiya tha. Uss ne kaha tha ke Di aur baqi sab ko bura lage ga, iss liye ussne humme mana kiya tha. Woh aap sab ki bhot kadar karti hain aur aap ne usse hi tokhra diya..." ("Khushi forbade me from doing so. She said that Di and everyone else for that matter would feel bad, that's why she stopped me from saying or doing anything. She loves and values you all a lot but you all indirectly disowned her...")
Payal voiced out her disappointment. The Raizadas looked down, utterly embarrassed with their behaviour with the innocent soul. How could they be so unjust with an angel who saved Anjali from a devil? They thought to themselves.
Anjali, who was still lost, from the current happenings, couldn't help but feel a tad bit insecure with everyone's reaction. Sensing her feelings, Arnav came and kneeled down in front of her, and took her hands in his.
"Di, I know that you may feel insecure at the moment but trust me, Khushi loves you as much as all of us. She didn't intend to hurt you in any way. Di, it's her first birthday after marriage, shouldn't it be special and memorable? Can we not forget our differences only for one day? Please Di?" Arnav Requested, his eyes showing sincere honesty and love for his wife.
Unable to find her voice, Anjali nodded, giving her approval. Everyone hurriedly got up in start to prepare the surprise for their Khushi.
"When Khushi returns, We'll wish her and apologise for our bad behaviour!" They all thought as they decorated the whole house. After a good few hours of working, The clan sat down, exhausted yet extremely happy with their effort.
"Khushi will love this! Thank you all so much!" Arnav exclaimed happily. He looked at his watch which just struck 6:00 pm.
"Khushi should be here any minute now!" He added looking restlessly at the front door.
"Chhote! Sabar kareiye! Khushiji aa jaye gi!"("Chotte! calm down! Khushiji, will come soon!") Anjali chided, the light hint of tease reflecting in her voice.
Arnav slightly blushed hearing Anjali's  teasing but masked it with his ASR attitude causing his family to roll their eyes at his actions.
A whole hour passed and there was still no sign of khushi. Arnav called her which she declined and in return she texted him saying that she'd be late as Preeto wants to spend more time with her. Even though Arnav was bubbling in rage, he tried to keep his cool. He comforted himself saying that Khushi just wants to enjoy her birthday with her maternal side.
The clock struck 12:00 am.
Everyone had retired to their rooms due to Arnav's insistence. They all felt guilty and a bit upset at the fact the Khushi didn't come home to celebrate with them.
Why would she anyway? Had they treated her with respect? No! They treated her as a criminal who had hurt their darling Anjali when in reality, she was saving her and was much of a victim than Anjali. Regretting badly, the family of Arnav Singh Raizada fell into a not so peaceful slumber as fatigue took over them.
Arnav on the other hand, was feeling extremely hurt and guilty. He couldn't believe that khushi had embarrassed him like that. Deep down, however he knew he deserved it...
******************
The door of Arnav's bedroom squeaked open, A figure in a pink and blue Anarkali tiptoed inside. She turned her gaze to the clock which just struck 2:00 am.
Silently closing the door of the room she took a few more steps inside only to be pulled into a hard, heaving, muscular chest.
She gasped instantly knowing who the owner of the sudden action was.
Arnav Singh Raizada!
"Aap?! Aap itni derr tak kyun uthay huwe hain?!" ("You?! What are you up so late?!") Khushi asked in shock. Thankfully the room was soundproof, so no one in the household could hear the commotion happening in Arnav and Khushi's bedroom.
"What the Hell Khushi?!" Arnav began, bluntly ignoring Khushi's question.
"What the actual Hell?!! Is this the time to come back?! You were meant to be home eight damn hours ago!! Where the hell were you?! Do you have any idea how much preparation everyone had done for you? Answer me!!" Arnav scolded Khushi who looked at him with moist eyes.
"Had i asked you to do any sort of preparation? Kyun ki thi aap sab ne itni tayariyaan? Hum toh aap ke Zindagi ki sabse bari ghalti hai na? Toh phir itni mehnat kyun? And it was my birthday so i wanted to live my life for a day. And why are you getting so annoyed? You Hate me anyway!" ("Had i asked you to do any sort of preparation? Why did you do so much preparation?? I'm the biggest mistake of your life, right? Then why so much effort for me? And it was my birthday so i wanted to live my life for a day. And why are you getting so annoyed? You hate me anyway!") Khushi angrily replied, causing Arnav to walk a couple of steps back.
"That's not true Khushi. You know that. I was just worried for you. You are special to me. I'm sorry for hurting you but i was just worried for Di. I -" Arnav was immediately cut off by a frustrated Khushi.
"Di, Di, Di!! Aap ki zindagi main sirf Di mayne rakhti hain! Hum kaun hai aap ki zindagi main?A contracted wife? Well start celebrating Mr Raizada; the contact is ending next week so a girl named Khushi would just be a stain of your past!" ("Di, Di,Di!! Di is the only one thing you value in your life! Who am i then? A contracted wife? Well start celebrating Mr Raizada; the contract is ending next week so a girl named Khushi would just be a stain of your past!") Khushi bit out her voice mixed with anger, hurt and frustration.
"I'm not letting you go Khushi. You hold very much importance in my life! You're bounded with me forever! I-"
Again, Arnav was cut off.
"Why?! Are you gonna force me into another one of your contracts? You hate me anyways so why can't you let me go?! Is my demise the only way to go away from you?!" Khushi asked, defeated. Her shoulders slumped and she looked down, tears of acid beginning to drip.
Arnav was on a whole other level. At first he felt guilty hearing her think that he'll force her again but that suddenly went out of the window as she talked about herself dying.
Taking one large step towards her, vigorously grabbed her arms making her startled. She looked up, her vulnerable eyes met his angry ones.
"HOW DARE YOU SAY THAT?!! YOU WANNA KNOW WHY I DON'T WANT TO LET YOU GO?! WELL, HEAR IT!  I LOVE YOU DAMN IT!! I BLOODY LOVE YOU! YOU ARE MINE AND I AM NEVER EVER LETTING YOU GO! GET THAT IN YOUR PEA SIZED BRAIN!" Arnav screamed while Khushi stood flabbergasted. Her mind stopped comprehending after Arnav's "I Love You Damn it!" confession.
Pulling a paralysed Khushi into a tight hug, Arnav breathed in her sent, enjoying the moment. Khushi broke the hug and looked at him, confused.
"Huh? What did you say?" She asked like a lost puppy. Seeing her reaction, Arnav just chuckled and repeated:
"I love you Khushi Arnav Singh Raizada! I love you a lot! You're the best thing that has ever happened to me and I'm NEVER letting you go! I. L.O.V.E. Y.O.U!" He said plastering her forehead with his.
"I love you too," she whispered unknowingly, making Arnav smile.
"I Know..." He breathed as he pulled her into a hug once more.
After staying in each other's embrace for a good amount of time, Arnav broke apart and began to lean in. Khushi closed her eyes tight and clutched Arnav's shoulders for support as she knew what was coming.
But what happened next was unexpected for her.
Instead of feeling his lips on hers, Khushi felt his lips on her forehead. Opening her eyes, she silently asked him why he done such.
"I have a whole lifetime to devour those rose petals of yours. Let's just live this moment." He smiled as Khushi looked up happily.
Taking out a rose flower from his pocket, Arnav handed it to Khushi, surprising her yet again.
"Happy belated Birthday Khushi! I wish that you get all the happiness in the world. I love you sweetheart!" He wished sincerely.
The couple smiled at each other. Finally all the misunderstandings were over and their true love had won. This was definitely the most memorable birthday that Khushi had ever received.
The End!
